1st Day of School!

Grace's actual birthday was on Monday the 25th, and it was also her first day of school. She has been so exited for the last few days, that I can't even get a word in edgewise. I have had to scream over her most of the weekend to get her to pay any attention to me. Things like "GOOD MORNING GRACE!!!" "DO YOU WANT SOME BREAKFAST?!!" it was exhausting. Finally it came... Monday! She was so exited that it was very hard to focus all of her energy on getting to school. After what seemed like hours, we finally headed out the door. I even managed to take a couple of pictures.

This was the first present of the day, it was an High School Musical Umbrella. This is how I got her to eat her breakfast, I promised a present. Although it was unfortunate that with all the rain we have been getting the last few days, it stopped raining when we headed to school.

This is Grace's fake smile, and Collins' five seconds and I am out of here smile. Which is the reason I only have a picture of them together with Grace's fake smile. It takes a while to get genuine.

The next few were taken in a matter of 10 seconds. Notice the wave of emotions she was experiencing!

2 seconds later

As crazy as this one is, it is my favorite. I will get it blown up for her High School Graduation and have all of her friends sign it for her to put on her dorm room wall.

2 seconds later

I am sure they have a pill that will help both she and I get through the next few years! : )

All in all she had a great day! We ended it with Build a Bear and pizza and cupcakes at Grandma and Pap Pap's.

Grace's 5th Birthday

Grace's 5th Birthday party was last Friday. We were going to have it at the Bridgemill pool, because they were having a Dive-in-Movie "Hannah Montana 3-D". Although, the weather had another plan for us! Luckily Grace is so easy going, and I could have asked her if it sounded good to just eat PB&J in the car for her party, and she would have said yes. However, we decided not to go that drastic, and to have it at the Mexican restaurant that she loves, right outside our subdivision. Here are a few pictures. We all had a great time, and it was a much easier clean up then the ones at our house! : )

Grace was very excited about her golf cart that she has been asking for since June when she saw it at her cousin Claire's birthday. Claire is right next to her, and her other cousin Katie is in the back ground.

Collins was equally excited about his new cars from Grandma. Check out his concentration and dedication to his new toys. I'm just kidding, he was just trying to lick some cheese dip off his lips! : )~

Last but certainly not least, Cake time! Grace got very embarrassed when everyone sings to her, she kept covering her face with her hands.

Meet the Teacher Day!

Grace had a wonderful meet the teacher day! She is lucky to have her cousin Claire in the same class as her for the second year in row.

I didn't realize it at the time I took this picture, but she was trying to get the lid off her glue. It was a while later, that I looked over at her and her eyes were bugging out of her head at me as she dramatically showed me that the lid was not budging. I even had trouble getting it off!

As you can see from this one, she was already giving me the dramatic I can't get this lid of gesture. I just hadn't noticed (until I downloaded the picture) I was too worried about getting everyone in the shot that I wasn't even looking at her. I don't know about all you other mothers, but I like to make sure I have all of my priorities in order! : )

Here she is with Claire digging in a toy box. I am going to have to rethink her hair. She is always all over the place, so I have to really secure it to not have it hanging in her face all the time.

And last but not least, her she is with her new wonderful teacher Ms.Durema.

Hopefully the year will be filled with many more smiles, like we saw today!

Finally!

I was so tired of seeing the My MeMe title that I had to write this brief post. I have been very busy this summer, and assume that I will post more in the Fall. Grace starts 4 day preschool on August 25, which also happens to be her birthday. She is very excited, because she gets to take cupcakes. That is all for now, although, I will add some pictures.

My friend, Lisa, and Amy, "tagged" me for a meme? I have never done this, but here it goes.

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Weeks in Review

It has been awhile since I last blogged about the family, but here are a few pictures to show our last two weeks.

We went to Emmy Katie's 2nd Birthday Party a couple of weeks ago. Emmy is my friend Onna's little girl. The kids had a great time playing in the pools. Collins got hit in the eye with a swing, and he was very upset for a while. The Party ended quickly, because of lightening.

Collins and Grace playing in the pools.

Collins' eye the next day. It never ended up looking as bad as I thought it was going to.

This is Collins and Candy playing in the front hall. I was making breakfast, and I heard Collins laughing, a bell jingling(in the ball) and Candy running. I grabbed the camera and took a couple of pictures. I liked this one, because Collins is still in motion from throwing the ball, and you can see the Green ball in the air in front of them. Could you imagine living with an animal that came up to your chest?! Yikes!

We had a great 4th. We went fishing at my parents lake in the morning, and then we had a big Bar-B-Que dinner, and then we all went to the Fireworks. Grace and Collins both loved them, and were both very tired when we got home. I have pictures on my Parents camera, I will post some when I get them.

Corn & Tomatoes

Does anyone know a good place to get farm fresh Sweet Corn and Tomatoes? I would like to find a farmer's stand somewhere that I could get veggies during the week? The place that we went to before moved to Florida. : ( They had the best tomatoes. Cheryl ://the2911promise.blogspot.com/ I am sure you would have the best places, but I would like to only have to drive like 30 minutes! : )

Collins

I cut Collins' hair last night before bath! I decided that with the Georgia heat, I should cut his hair really short. I have never cut his hair before, but I decided that I couldn't really mess up a somewhat buzz cut. It doesn't look too bad for a first time, but I can see few places that I need to fix.

BEFORE

Click on the Hairy picture to see close-up just how covered he is! No wonder he isn't putting his arms down, he is so itchy. I think next time we will just wear a shirt.

AFTER I think I will rethink the location next time.

Grace

Grace just came up to me and said that she doesn't know who she is going to marry. She says this more frequently then you would think, but it is what she said afterwards that makes me wonder about my crazy husband. She said that she is worried that she is going to marry someone who doesn't cheer for Georgia, and then Daddy will be mad and "spank her" instead of "give her ice cream". Now, I can remember not all that long ago when Greg would say that one of his fears was that his kids would root for another school, because they are rebelling against him and feeling pressure. He swore that he would try to be less intense about his Georgia Football in front of the kids, and he would try to make it FUN! I think he needs help from someone who is actually licensed to give help. GO DAWGS! : )

Happy Birthday Day Daddy!

Collins is in his diaper, because his mother doesn't get stains out of clothes very well. Notice that Grace is dressed. Her clothes were from Target, and Collins' were from Gymboree! : )

Grace looks hungry!

Yummy! (Cake and Greg!)

I made Greg try on one of his birthday outfits. He looked very nice!

Mother's Day Gift!

Guess who started Obedience Training yesterday? Ironically enough, my Mother's day gift started on Father's Day! : )

Candy is staking out her prey here.

Attacking her prey! The little guy never new what hit him!

Here she is making sure that the older one think that she loves her any less. Poor Collins is still flat on his back, but you can't see him because of the fur ball is in front of him.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to one of the Greatest Father ever!! He is on the floor right now with Grace and Collins playing. This is where you can find him every night, from the second he gets home from work, until we get the kids ready for bed. He will usually do the bath, while I pajama up the crowd. Then we each put one of the kids to bed, but if he had it his way, he would put them both down. He also often says "Lets wake the kids up and play with them", of course we never do, thank goodness! It was the thought that counts. He looked at me yesterday with a dead serious look and said how can I ever let them grow up? He teared up thinking about Grace getting married! It sounds like Grace is going to have to elope so that Greg doesn't shame the whole family with his racking sobs! : ) Just Kidding! We all love you!

Recital Night!

Well, last nights recital, went very well. Collins lasted for 3 performances, before I left with him to walk the halls. I stood in the back and watched Grace's class. They were 7th out of 33! It didn't start until 6:45pm, so we didn't stay for the whole thing. We left around 8pm. We all had a good time, and Grace got lots of flowers and a Trophy. I didn't get any pictures of Collins, because he was on the move with Greg around the school while we were taking pictures.

Big Hair! This is in the middle of fixing her hair, but for some crazy reason I didn't take a finished pic! I think it is because it wasn't as funny as this picture. : )

This is a picture just before we left to go home. Behind Grace is Will and Max, and next to her is Claire. They are my sister Missy's three kids. Notice who is unable to look at the camera! : )Grace is griping a piece of gum for she and Collins from Grandma. I think that was her favorite thing!

Dance!

Well, it is finally dance recital week. Grace is very excited! We had rehearsal tonight, and the recital is on Wednesday night. We also picked up her pictures this evening. I am very happy that she looked at the camera, because we had to prepay sight unseen if we wanted pictures.

Do you like the High School Mall hair? Grace's hair had so much hairspray on it, that she smelled like she had been in a bar all afternoon drinking! : )

Hopefully all will go well Wednesday night. During one of her last recitals, she didn't come out of stage. She was 3 and when her whole class came out, Grace was not with them! I ran behind stage with my heart racing! I found her holding hands with a girl in a different class! I was very upset to think that they had lost her. I grabbed her and raced her to the stage. They stopped the show, and Grace slowly made her way on stage. The second it was over I followed her back to the back, and watched the whole class for the rest of the recital. Needless to say, we switched dance studios.

College

I have been very reminiscent of college these last couple of months. I think it is because of all of my friends blogs that I have been reading lately. I decided to dig through some old dusty basement boxes and find some pictures! : ) I hope you all enjoy!

Fun Weekend!

We had a pretty busy weekend, but we had a great time! Friday night, I went out with Onna, Carie, Christy, Miranda, Susan, and Jenifer. We went to Bahama Breeze for dinner, and then we went and saw "Sex and the City". We had a lot of fun! The movie was wonderful, and the martini was delicious. Then Saturday we went to the Fishing Rodeo at my parents lake, and Grace caught 3 fish. She was thrilled!

The 1st fish!

Fishing with Daddy! Looking at the camera is almost impossible for her.

Then later that day we went to Henley's birthday party. For those of you who know Henley's Mom, Jenifer Jiacopello (Jones) then you it will not be a big surprise to know that it was the most elaborate 5 year old's party that I have ever been to. It was a 50's Sock Hop, and Jenifer spared no expense. She had her husband Josh dressed up like a Soda Jerk, and she had a full service diner with hot dog baskets and ice cream floats and moon pies. The kids loved it, and there was a lot of music and dancing. I have many pictures.

Grace with actual eye contact!! It gives me chills of excitement! : )

Grace and Henley dancing. Notice in the back ground the little girl in pink and the boy to her left. Those are Andy Green's kids. Tyler and Emma

BIG FUN!
